Yahoo have been given the Boot. Due to Yahoo hosting unreliability we
have now moved our site to a new hosting provider. If these are reliable
I will let viewers know who it is. Also we now own another domain
www.websplats.com a new website will be created here with alternative
content to this one.

We are currently experiencing problems uploading data to Yahoo Web Servers.
You may find that sometimes the live data such as Webcam and weather data
will not be updating. Our systems are up and running perfectly but we
cannot FTP the data to Yahoos Servers reliably.
When accessing this site you may get an error page stating "error
999" This indicates Yahoo have a problem. They cannot give any direct
answers as to why this occours, but I believe it is due to the ammount
of data I am uploading.
You may also get a page stating "Internal Server Error" This
again is a Yahoo issue.
I would appreciate some feedback from visitors if you
have seen any of these problems when trying to access our site.
I am contacting Yahoo who say they are looking at the
problem. If this becomes a regular issue I will be looking for an alternative
host. I need to ensure that Joekime.com is Live 24hrs with no problems.

The following pages Temperature Basics, Temperature Summary and Temperature
Inside are completed. Note that the text links to other pages will be
changed for graphics when all temperature pages are completed.

Over the next 2 weeks you will see the Weather pages get some detailed
attention. The first to be completed will be the Temperature pages. The
other weather pages will follow. Data is now consistant and reliable using
serial datalogger, so now my time can be concentrated on getting the information
displayed on the site in a easy to read format. If you find any displays
difficult to read or understand please let me know and I will do my best
to improve them. Without feedback I can ony assume it is OK. Havent yet
looked at historic data this will be done last.

The Datalogger has now been replaced for a serial version, this will eliminate
future problems with the USB connection. Weather will be made live again.
And final setup of pages on thiswebsite will now continue. Thanks to Weather
front for their professional and efficient handling of my problem.

The Datalogger has now been sent back to supplier for testing. The USB
Davis Datalogger has been known to not work on a small number of PCs,
Unfortunately mine is one of them. It is possible that a Serial one will
need to be used to get round the problem, as the serial ones have no connection
issues. For now no data will be uploaded. As soon as I receive a replacement
Live weather will be back online.

Contacted UK weather shop who were very helpfull and suggested I send
the USB Datalogger back for inspection

Noticed comms errors on the connection with PC, This happened about once
a day. Comms just became unavailable and the only way to clear it was
to unplug and re-connect the USB lead. Also computer locked up twice during
downloading to website.

Weather Station now installed and being setup. A test page is accessible
form our weather page.

Weather Station was picked up from UK Weathershop, Eastbourne. The owners
kept the shop open untill my arrival late in the day 5.45pm. They usually
shut at 5.00pm. GREAT SERVICE |
